TALIA ROWLEY

Founder & Chief Writer

Talia Rowley is an award-winning actor, teacher and writer, working across performance, training, and original content development.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Screen from Griffith University, a Diploma of Screen Acting from Screenwise, and has further developed her writing practice through studies at University of Melbourne.

Talia’s career has been shaped by a deep connection to actor training. After beginning her teaching career with the Australian School of Performing Arts, Film and Television (ASPAFTV), she went on to work closely with emerging actors through her as General Manager of Screenwise — Australia’s leading film and television school. It was here that her understanding of what actors truly need from material was further refined.

Across her work in education and development, Talia has written hundreds of original scripts for young performers, designed specifically for use in auditions, training, and performance. Her work includes 18 original stage productions — several of which debuted at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre — as well as screen projects including the independent feature film PERFECT, IMPERFECT (2017) and the short film SCREAMING SILENCE (2014).

More recently, she wrote and directed a travelling theatre work for children, staged throughout Myer Sydney City as part of their live events program — a first-of-its-kind activation for the department store.

Script & Scribe Creations was born from this body of work and from a clear gap in the industry. Talia continues to write with a focus on creating material that is not only engaging on the page, but genuinely performable: grounded, age-appropriate, and built for real-world application.

She has a strong vision for her students: “My vision for my students is that they grow into courageous, authentic storytellers with open hearts, empathy for others, and a tonne of creative flair. I want them to know that by taking ownership of their own story, young people can make their voices heard – little by little, creative artists have the power to shape their future and change our world.”
